The committee decided at a meeting on 7th of December 2022, to change the society’s name from Oslo og Viken Buddhistforening = The Buddhist Society of Oslo and Viken, to:

The Buddhist Society of Norway

We have bought the web domain dnbf.org and dnbf.no. But it will take some time before the website, bank, e-mail and Facebook are updated to the new name. The reason for the change was that the county of Viken is being dissolved and that we want to be a national society.

We wanted to make the change now ahead of the start of a long-term project around our desire to establish a retreat center in Norway.
