Dear member,

In our tradition, facilitating places of silence and practice is one of the most valuable forms of dana (generosity). DNBF is now at the beginning of a very exciting chapter: We are at the start of realizing a dream − the job with a property that will provide lasting space for immersion, teaching and community.

Creating such a place requires skills on several levels. Good intentions are the foundation, but in order for the vision to gain a solid, physical foothold, we need technical and practical professional knowledge.

The project currently lacks specific expertise in real estate, building, construction and land-use planning. To ensure that the process is carried out in a realistic, safe and orderly manner, we want to establish a small advisory group.

Developing such a place involves many questions at an early stage. For example, alternative building sizes, construction costs and operating costs, choice of suitable site, zoning conditions and dialogue with the municipality.

We therefore want to hear from members who are willing to contribute with professional advice, initially in a non-binding advisory role in the early phase.

Who are we looking for?

  • architect
  • structural engineer / civil engineer
  • contractor or builder
  • real estate developer
  • project manager in construction
  • experience with zoning processes or land-use planning

Making one’s professional expertise available to the community is a beautiful practice in itself. Do you have the background we need, and a desire to help us lay the stones correctly?

Send us a short, non-binding email at post@dnbf.org, and we will be happy to have a chat about what such a role can entail.

There are now many important choices to be made, so the society needs professional help!
