Membership with state support

Our young society has a lot to offer – membership with state support is free, and registration is possible if you live in Norway (see the alternative, if you live outside Norway). Sign up in three easy steps:

NB: Membership with state support requires that you live in Norway and that you are not a member of other Norwegian faith societies, for example the Norwegian Church, the Buddhist Federation, the Norwegian Humanist Association, etc. Cancellation is often done online with BankID, or by logging on to a website.

If you do not wish to opt out of an existing faith society, you can instead become a member with fee – you will receive the same membership benefits.

People who have reached the age of 15 can register themselves in or out. Those who have parental responsibility for a child under the age of 15 can register the child.

Upon registration, you are automatically added to 1) the membership mail by e-mail, 2) the newsletter by e-mail and 3) members only content when logging in. You can unsubscribe from the membership mail and the newsletter yourself when you receive an email.

If you have questions, see further down the page, or send an email to: medlem@dnbf.org

Why become a member?

  • Membership gives priority at the soceity’s events, but our events are also open to those without membership.
  • It’s a great way to support our work – membership gives the society state aid of approx. NOK 1,400 per year per member, which we use for various events.
  • The society is a good place to find other people with the same spiritual interest.
  • You come to a society that lives according to the Buddha’s intention of equal opportunities for all.
