Creating an environment into which we can welcome anything | EN | Venerable Canda

A guided meditation with a focus on establishing a good foundation for further meditation.

This guided meditation, given the first day of a retreat, focuses on establishing a lovely environment in the mind, into which we can invite whatever arrises − breath, bodily sensations, silence, emotions or thinking. The important part is our attitude when we welcome them in − allowing them in with kindness, acceptance, friendliness and warmth. After the guided meditation, some instructions are added on how to do walking meditation.

This teaching was given at Venabu 2024.
