North of Helsinki is Lammi, a small village with a Zen center. The Dhamma Society of Finland had invited Ajahn Nitho to teach a 9-day retreat in June, and together with Finnish Ajahn Mudito and a trainee, it became inspirational both in English and Finnish languages. It was really summer, some people were camping in nature, while others wanted their own room at the center. It was a bit fun to be awarded a gold medal and laurel wreath by the participants, because they found the retreat so inspiring and good.
