Dear members, friends of Buddhism and followers of DNBF,

We are pleased to share a significant milestone: The society has recently taken another important step towards establishing a retreat center and a home for bhikkhunis and bhikkhus in Norway.

After input from the board and committed members, Ajahn Nitho has prepared a comprehensive, realistic and fruitful proposal for how this can become a living reality. The proposal is based on the community’s visions and needs – and gives us a good basis for further work.

Thank you very much to everyone who has contributed so far! We are also sending out an open invitation to everyone who wants to join us on the road ahead – welcome!

This documentation is aimed at stakeholders both from Norway and abroad, and now in the beginning we choose to use “Nord” or “North” as the project name. Our dream has already been put into circulation in a larger international network.
