Kindfulness, Arendal and Stavanger
Kindfulness weekend retreats are arranged in Arendal and Stavanger, respectively 5th – 5. – 6th of April and 26th 26. – 27th of April. This weekend, an introduction to meditation is given, and throughout the weekend follows instructions on how the meditation can be deepened, and how a good lifestyle can build up the meditation in a good way.
An important theme for this weekend is joy in meditation. In the Buddha’s original texts in the Pali language, we can often read: sukhino cittaṃ samādhiyati = a person with joy in the mind receives deep meditation. Joy and happiness are elements of meditation that we in the West often forget. This weekend we will look at and try out advice from the master himself.

Pali language course
We plan to set up an intensive course in the Buddhist Pali language during 2025/2026. The course will run full-time for 9 days. The first part is a thorough introduction to the language and grammar where we work with simple sentences. In the second part of the course, the participants themselves and as a group will translate a simpler, but real teaching from the Buddha from Pali into English − which is actually not that difficult.
We have found a professor from Sweden who will be responsible for the teaching, and both the teaching and all teaching materials will be in English. More information on this website.
