We rent the entire Venabu Fjellhotell, so that all participants get optimal conditions for learning, practice and development. Mark this week in your calendar!
All participants get a private room with shower and toilet.
Large dining room. Large hall for teaching, as well as smaller lounges for those seeking an inspiring book and a sofa – with a hot cup in hand.
THE INSTRUCTORS
More than 30 years of full-time experience
Bhikkhu Ajahn Nitho and Bhikkhuni Venerable Canda will be the instructors of this retreat, who have both led many retreats in different countries, and can inspire with high quality and confidence. Both are backed by British-Australian Ajahn Brahm − one of the world’s foremost masters of meditation within Buddhism.
This retreat has participants from many countries in Europe and North America, so all teaching is given in English, but since Ajahn Nitho is Norwegian, the guidance for Norwegian participants is often in Norwegian.

YOUR OWN HUT
Even calmer
If you wish, you can stay in your own cabin with a bathroom. Venabu has 10 cabins available.
This allows for a more private and quieter stay, but will cost somewhat more.
The cabins are located 50 meters from the main building.
Private cabin/hut will cost NOK 8,300, and does not include food, you bring your own bed linen and final cleaning is required.
The cabin/hut has its own kitchen, and a Kiwi grocery store is located 900 metres from Venabu. But food and cleaning
can also be purchased at Venabu as needed.
FOOD
Healthy tasty food in the mountains
We set up for breakfast at 07.00 and lunch/dinner at 12.00, as well as something snack in the evening – buffet/self-service. The food will be vegetarian, with eggs and dairy products. There will be snacks, tea and coffee available throughout the day.
The hotell’s own chef prepares healthy and tasty food for us, and in order to keep costs down, everyone helps a little in the kitchen or cleaning. All participants helps out totally for about one hour during the retreat.

Price NOK 8,950 for private room
The price includes accommodation in a private room with bath/shower, food and teaching for 7 days.
