This year’s big retreat with Venerable Canda and Ajahn Nitho is over, we have taught a weekend retreat in Stockholm, and Helsinki/Finland is coming next weekend with a subsequent 7 day retreat in Kreivila. A search is now underway among the islands, islets and reefs outside Stockholm for a good location for a 9-day retreat.

But for the next few months we have this on the program:

Weekend retreat – Stavanger

We rent Kongsgata44 in Stavanger 15th and 16th of June for a weekend retreat focusing on basic meditation and mindfulness. There will be instruction and guidance of many types of meditation, in a friendly and safe atmosphere. Ajahn Nitho will be the instructor, and all teaching will be in Norwegian.

What Buddha practiced – Oslo

Norwegian Ajahn Brahmali is coming to Majorstuen in Oslo and will this weekend 22th and 23th of June, he will give us a dive into Buddha’s wisdom and framework for practice, and he will teach − in a familiar style − with clarity and authority in Norwegian language.

Mountain retreat – Hardangervidda (?)

It will probably be a 14-day mountain retreat in mid-July, for those who seek out nature and nature’s support for meditation, practice and a simple lifestyle in the open air. Work is now underway to choose a location – and suggestions are welcome. More information will be available on our website in due course.

Weekend retreat – Oslo

In the fall − 14th and 15th of September – Jaran de los Santos Olsen will teach a weekend retreat in Oslo. More information later.

7 day autumn retreat – Venabu

Bhante Sujato, the founder of Suttacentral.net, is coming to Norway to teach a 7-day autumn retreat at Venabu Fjellhotell. This is a silent meditation retreat, where Bhante Sujato wants to inspire people to meditate, but we’ve also asked him to find teachings from Buddha about awakening – What is it? How does it happen? How does Buddha describe it?

More information and registration on this website.

Weekend retreat – Oslo

After a longer retreat at Venabu, Bhante Sujato will be teaching a weekend retreat in Oslo on 2nd and 3rd of November. This will be a weekend where we bring together both Norwegian and foreign resources, and focus on the original teaching available. More information later.

More activities in November are on the way, and in December the registered participants will travel in Buddha’s footsteps around in India.

Have a great summer!
