Ajahn Brahm Weekend Retreat
Ajahn Brahm came to visit Norway for a short week, and as part of his stay a weekend retreat was organized in Oslo. You can also find the teaching here.

This is an introduction to meditation talk, given in Oslo in 2022. It starts by focusing on right motivation − letting go, kindness and gentleness. This motivation will guide our minds towards peace and stillness, by not using force, but allowing stillness to arise just as water in a drinking glass. It is the winds of wanting that makes our mind move away for peace.
Silence is delightful, and also creates a clear bright mind, which can see things clearly. And that clarity of mind can be applied to your body for health, and also towards your mind to deepen your peace and develop wisdom.

The weekend of the 25th to 27th of November 2022, the society had invited Ajahn Brahm to teach a weekend retreat in Oslo. We rented KTL in Bjørndalen, and filled the center to the brim with around 70 people.

This is a guided body scan meditation, first creating comfort, ease and peace in the body − legs, buttocks, hands, torso, neck and face. Removing tightness and tense.
Then when the body is calm, looking at the mind, asking “How peaceful are you now?” and “How can I become more peaceful?” − remembering to be kind to the past, and kind to the future.
