Vesak in Belgium

Venerable Nitho was invited to participate and teach at a Vesak celebration in Belgium, and use the opportunity to listen to advice on how DNBF can establish a center for both our members, bhikkhus and bhikkhunis in Norway.

Tilorien is a center in Belgium that is led by female monastics, and it is bhikkhuni Vimala who is the leader. To build a European network, it was a completely natural choice to visit Tilorien, and an opportunity to learn and listen, and receive useful tips about DNBF’s process of a center for both women and men (bhikkhunis and bhikkhus) in Norway.

We also had a visit from Thailand’s ambassador to the EU, who is a strong supporter of ensuring equality in the Buddhist world in Europe.
