On Sunday 1 November, DNBF will be visited in Oslo by a young female bhikkuni trainee (anagarikaa) from Denmark who is undergoing training, who shares openly and personally about life as an anagarika, the first step on the road to a full-time training and ordination.
What makes a person say goodbye to work, house and the usual framework for a quiet, simple life and intensive mental training? She talks about the road that led to the choice, about periods when doubts arose, and about what grew when she dared to make the choice.
The afternoon is about the joy of living with fewer things and more presence, about the challenges along the way, and about what freedom can mean in an everyday life characterized by stress and noise − and rather live with your heart first.
There will be time for questions and conversation after the presentation.
